Week 2 - Nutrition and Science

This week we made our own snow, created our own meme, had a healthy soup cook-off with student judges, had a visit from Georgie Kendall from Healthy Acadia, learned about sugar in sugary drinks, learned about portion control, learned about cardiovascular health and so much more!

Week 3 - Family Engagement/Art

Lots of fun things happening this week at the Ridge! Todd Simcock from channel 5 came to talk to us about meteorology, we blacked out our BINGO cards, we had a super fun time sledding after school with our friends/family and community! And even created some great winter art in art class!

Week 4 - Engineering and Technology and Kindness Matters

This week was difficult on our activities weather wise, from rain to extremely cold, but we are from Cutler, you learn to deal with the cold! We had a spirit week, complete with Super Heroes big and small! We learned all about KINDNESS and completed some tasks on empathy. A student made us his very own Kindness rap and presented it in front of the whole school. We learned how to make a boomerang video in the wind and cold, we had a Winter Carnival with three guest speakers, Nick Landrum, the Computer Guy, Rob Hudson from Cutler Navy Base, and David Winski came to tell us all about the wonders of 3D Printing and Robotics.  To end the week Mrs. Lemioux, Mrs. Balyint, and Mrs. Lichtenger beatboxed and rapped over the intercom and we had a super fun closing ceremony/pep rally for Winter Kids and Kindness Matters complete with medals, ice cream, and of course a dance party!
